Our commitment

All our training courses are delivered by highly qualified PATROLAIR-certified instructors, who share the same values of professionalism and know-how, steeped in aeronautical and military rigor.

We are very MISSION-oriented; piloting, while essential, represents only a partial approach to the use of UAVs in operational mission conditions.

We cover all types of assignments, with appropriate training to guarantee a high level of professionalism.

Theoretical drone pilot training

Our Télépilote de drone civil training program now complies with European regulations (Appendix 1 Chapter 1 Appendix A and Appendix 1 Chapter 2 Appendix A of regulation no. 2019/947).

Patrolair prepares you for the CATT (Certificat d'Aptitude Théorique Télépilote) under French regulations, or the CATS (Certificat d'Aptitude Théorique Spécifique) under European regulations.

Availability:

- E-learning for online courses and MCQs, with tracking of success rates.

- 5 hours of video-conferencing to tackle the subjects least well understood by the candidate.

Practical drone pilot training

Our Télépilote de drone civile training program now complies with European regulations (Appendix 1 Chapter 1 Appendix A and Appendix 1 Chapter 2 Appendix A of regulation no. 2019/947). 

  • Prepare and plan operations and assess ground and air risks
  • Briefing and debriefing operations
  • Report on events that may affect safety
  • Perform precise, controlled maneuvers representative of STS scenarios
  • Know how to use normal, abnormal and emergency procedures
  • Know how to operate in VLOS (visual flight rules) and BVLOS (visual flight rules); appreciate the risks associated with obstacles, terrain and other airspace users.
  • Know how to carry out a mission involving aerial observers

Patrolair issues you with a practical drone pilot training certificate

Training takes place in Aix en Provence (13290) or Les Orres (05200).

Duration: 42 hours in 5 working days. (Includes 2 hours initiation to night flying)

2,950€ HT / person (includes theoretical training)
Training available on customer site, with a minimum of 4 pilots to be trained.

Must be over 14 to take the course.

For people with a disability enabling them to take a drone pilot training course, the area will be selected and equipped accordingly.

Technical Training

- Telepilot of fixed-wing UAVs
- UAV operations in the mountains
- UAV operations at night
- UAV operations from boats at sea
- Training for telepilot instructors

Training takes place on the customer's site, in Aix en Provence (13290) or Les Orres (05200).

We are registered as a training organization with the DGAC (French Civil Aviation Authority) and the DREETS (French Ministry of Labor),

Qualiopi certified (certification of the quality of our services based on French national quality standards).

  • 100% of our trainees feel confident and are ready to recommend our training courses at the end of their course.
  • The success rate for practical training was 95% by the end of 2023.

  • The success rate for the theory exam prepared with PATROLAIR was 88% in the first attempt, and 100% in the first retake.
